Elder Timothy Moore
Elder Timothy Moore graduated from Fayetteville State University. While at FSU, Timothy gave his life to the Lord and received his calling to the ministry. Elder Moore often assisted his Pastors at his churches in Fayetteville and Wilson. After graduating from FSU, Timothy gained employment at Roses Stores. He was employed at Roses for over four and a half years and served as Assistant and Store Manager. In September of 1983, Reverend Moore, Florine, and Shaneeka relocated to Durham; Keesha was later born in 1984. While working at Roses, Florine met Carolyn Watson and she invited her to fellowship at Waltown. After visiting the church for over a year, Pastor Moore and his family became members on June 9, 1985, under the leadership of Elder Charles E. Waddell.

In 1985, Reverend Moore began assisting Elder Waddell as an Associate Minister. In addition, he served as Sunday School Teacher and Chairperson of the Education Day Committee. The two formed a bond that could not be broken, similar to that of father and son. Elder and Sister Waddell were great mentors to Reverend and Sister Moore. In September of 1998, Reverend Moore was assigned as Pastor of Mt. Zion United Holy Church in Oxford, North Carolina. He served as Pastor there until the home going of Elder Waddell on April 4, 2000. In May of 2000, Elder Moore became the Pastor of Greater Waltown.

God is still blessing this wonderful congregation. Recently, Elder Moore led the church family in the purchase of almost three acres of land behind the church. In addition, God touched a family's heart last year and they graciously donated almost .50 acre of land beside the church. Elder Moore also led the church family with the procurement and installation of new church furnishings and carpet for the sanctuary.

Elder Moore is a loyal supporter of the Southern District. He served on the Election Committee of the Southern District and General Convocation. On February 2004, he was appointed District Elder of the Southern Central District and currently serves in this capacity. Last year, he was appointed to the Southern District Convocation Budget Committee and to the United Christian College Board of Trustees. On August 11, 2012, Elder Moore was appointed to the Southern District Convocation Board of Elders. In addition, he is the Director of Business and Auxiliary Services at North Carolina Central University.

Elder Moore preaches against sin and encourages the congregation to stay knitted together in love. A humble servant, in words and deeds, he desires to be a blessing to the congregation and the community.
